Project Brief
To identify a web application and conduct a UI analysis using the triadic model. To categorize the UI elements into three main types: icons, index, and symbols. Finally, redesign these elements using an alternative logic, meaning converting icons into indexical or symbolic forms, and vice versa.

A direct imitation of the object which is being represented

All of these are icons as they directly imitate the objects they are representing. thus an icon

An indirect representation of the object which is being depicted
These vehicles indirectly represent number of members booking a ticket. Hence, these are indexes.
A smile is an index of being happy
A ticket is a sign for booking anything. Here there is a torn ticket which indirectly signifies a booking. Thus an index
These celestial bodies are the indirect representation of the time. Hence an index
It has been taught to us that bell is for notification. But thats not its real meaning. We have culturally adapted this and thus this is a symbol as well as index.
No relation between signifier and signified. The connection is culturally learned.
A red heart is a classic example of a symbol as it has no resemblance with heart but we have learnt its meaning culturally
Settings sign is universally adapted as the gear and is culturally accepted. Hence its a symbol
The info sign is culturally known to us but it has no resemblance with information thus a symbol
The search icon is indexical as its indirect representation of the magnifying glass which is used to search small things but it has become a symbol over the period of time

We redesigned the sign using abstract alien symbols to represent the number of seats, aligning with the concept of viewers as aliens in the movie world. Each alien symbol corresponds to the number of tickets to be purchased.
